Adding the file title to the list shown when using choose version would solve most issues related to storing multiple version of a title. This would still allow the selection of a different resolution when available but also provide the ability to playback other version such as director’s cuts, original theatrical versions, maximum movie mode, etc.
A request for the same feature exists already, and it has more votes.
Therefore this one is closed, to prevent spreading the votes across several threads, even though they vote for the same (or at least very similar thing).
