Prevent unnecessary server cycles for items that have been generated by a previous server. My use case may be an outlier, Primary and Secondary servers working off the same data set. The watched status sync works great, but secondary servers must process the information again for each addition. If the intro/credit skip was stored as some value alongside the file hash and synced alongside watched status, could this alleviate the secondary servers having to generate their own? This could also allow servers with differing libraries, put possibly same files to reduce calculations as well.
You can already do that for the credit markers. Check Contributing Marker Data to “the Cloud” in https://support.plex.tv/articles/credits-detection/
Note : This feature only works with credits markers currently. “Intro” detection is not currently contributed.
Thanks @tom80H for pointing that out., I’ve amended my post title. Indeed i have that configured (from default). I mainly added credits as an add on to the request as I see my server “detecting intros” and pegging CPUs. Figured it must have done the credits already 
When following up on another similar suggestion I’ve noticed that there’s already another thread asking for an option to crowd-source intro detection markers. Please comment/vote in that thread and let’s close this one as a duplicate.
