Add option for Playlists/Collections to disable adding to Continue Watching

I have a collection for all of my comedy series that I shuffle in the background often and will skip through episodes to find something good. After this my Continue Watching section is littered with those skipped episodes that I don’t intend to finish and all the series I was watching gets pushed to the back. It would be great if there was an option for Playlists/Collections to disable adding to Continue Watching.

TL:DR A Shuffle option included next to the traditional “shuffle” on collections, playlists, shows and libraries. That shuffles but won’t track or mark watched status on the items played. It could be called “Observe” or something to separate it.

At this point I think most people consider recreating the traditional TV experience with only your media the brass ring here. I think with the inclusion of smart collections that can be shown to all users they can be used to recreate that better than smart playlists can. Issue is that the watch status can make your continue watching a hot mess after watching a smart collection/playlist. Having the 7 shows you watched on shuffle appear on your On Deck when you aren’t going to actually watch them later is a bit of a cluster and a big deterrent for using them that way.

If there was another option, like I said “observe” above, that would let you shuffle say a Comedy Central smart collection/playlist without actually tracking the watch status, you could recreate the randomness of TV a bit better without having a huge mess of watch history to deal with afterwards.

(I searched but surprisingly didn’t find a previous suggestion for this. I know at some point playlists did this but now all things work to mark shows/episodes as watched. I know the execution sounds similar to PsuedoTV request but my suggestion is very distinctly different in execution.)

Something like a toggle to allow a playlist to not impact “played” status. I have a playlist with various comedy shows I watch as, essentially, background noise - but it’s all episodes I have seen, and I don’t necessarily care to pick up where I left off when I return to the playlist. I hit shuffle every time. But it litters my “Continue watching” section with episodes in progress that I don’t actually care to continue.

I would like a feature that allows certain Playlists or Collections to have a setting to disable the media from showing up in the Continue Watching on the home screen. For example, I have a playlist of cartoons like I shuffle play. I would like those episodes that are being randomly watched to not show up in my Continue Watching as they are not being watch chronologically anyway.
