How come there's no way to add series to "Continue Watching" list?

I know you can create playlists, queue things to watch or listen to, but you cannot, at least to my knowledge after spending months looking, add a series from a library to the “continue watching” list at the top of the display. If you could, you would be able to put back things that were removed from this list when you use the “remove from continue watching list” option. I tried click and drag to move a series up there, which would be the ideal way to do it, but no luck. Or maybe there is an “undo” button I haven’t found. Thanks.

If you start watching it again it will be added again. You can also add it to the new watchlist and get to it from there (the watchlist does require your libraries use the new Plex Movie or Plex TV Series agent.)

Doesn’t this require you to mark it “Unplayed” before watching it again, also?
In my experience, if I finish a already “played” episode of a show, it will not add it to the “Continue Watching” area until the show (or season) is marked “Unplayed”.

If you watch about a minute of the next episode or partially watched episode wherever you left off. If you don’t have the next episode then you can just mark the most recent episode as unplayed and watch a bit of it if you won’t recognize the new episode when it appears in Recently Added. You should not need to mark the entire season as unplayed

I appreciate the several replies but they address the obvious things that have worked since the inception of plex, anyone who has used the program for a couple hours knows that these comments are what happens. That is not the issue of the question. If I have a show that has never been watched then it does not show in the continue watching, obviously. However, if I want someone else to be able to watch it, not me, and I tell them the title and they can not find it because of the thousands of shows on the server, it would a whole lot easier for them if I could just post it to the continue watching and they would see it right there when the log on. I don’t want to watch it and I have no interest is “queuing” it up for them by having to “start” it. I just want to move it to the continue watching list and make it a whole lot easier to be found by someone who doesn’t want to spend hours looking for it. Seems like a very simple thing but apparently not or I guess it would be in the program already. Maybe that clears up the issue. Thanks.

You cannot add something to another users Continue Watching, it is unique to their account. It was just not meant as a “start watching” or a vehicle for recommending things to others. An easier way to recommend things to friends is something we do want to add though

If what you want is to recommend things to others you could make list a custom collection called “Britsofts Suggested Shows” or whatever you want , and add shows to that collection. You can publish that collection to a home screen or recommeded tab as a recommendation row so the folks whom you give access to your server can see them on their home screen if they have your TV library pinned.
