Add shortcuts to my Digital Downloads (Google Play store etc)

Though the majority of my film & tv collection is rips of blu-rays and DVD’s, recently I’ve started purchasing digital downloads from places like Google Play and Amazon Video. What I would love to be able to do is include these within the appropriate Plex Library - as an informational place holder if nothing else. Ideally it would be great if it could also be a short cut to the content. So for instance using a Chromecast as I do, from within the Plex Library if I select a film that I bought from Google Play Store and choose play - Plex triggers a shortcut of some description such that the Chromecast hooks in to Play movies and starts playback.

I’m not sure how practical something like this might be - particularly shortcuts to the material, but at the very least I’d like to have a complete database of all the material I own.

I like this (I did put my like on the post) I just don’t know how the link would work. This type of thing buts up against the DRM devil.

I like this idea but would be happy with simply having a separate library on myplex account that lists all my purchased Google Play movies. Ideally I would like to be able to share these with anyone I have shared my plex server with but if that is an issue I would be happy just to play them on my local network. For the UI setup it should be as simple as entering the google username and password to access your google play content such as music and movies.

It would also be nice if this same feature would allow me add my photos.

Adding a +1 to this as I’ve been pondering the same thing lately… however, I also understand that it might be quite a stretch to convince Google (and all the licensing required) to allow it.

It would be awesome though

+1 to this. A true integration of purchased movie content would be excellent. I don’t know if “Movies Anywhere” does this through licensing or not, but this would be a similar example. Would love for Plex to be my everywhere/all content, but maybe this isn’t plausible.

Plex can’t do any decoding of DRM content. Plex doesn’t have the licensing for it.
