I want to use the DVD order for a TV Show (Pokemon on thetvdb), but unfortunately this show also has some specials that are only listed in the aired order. So when I use the DVD order, they will not be recognized.
I am looking for a way to use the DVD order for the normal episodes and take the metadata for the specials from the TV order.
Is this possible and what is the best way to achieve this? (I really don’t want to manually add all the information of up to 82 specials.)

In that case your only options are:
Treat the specials as show-level local extras instead. This won’t give you the „special“ experience but the videos will show up under their title / file name.
Keep them as specials and manually add the metadata for the items inside Plex (as Plex won’t find any on TheTVDb
Sign up to TheTVDb and assign the specials as specials (assuming they’re not already assigned within a regular season, in which case their crew will most likely not allow your changes)

It looks like registering with TheTVDB is the best solution. However, although none of the specials have been assigned yet I cannot assign them to the specials category. The options are limited to the normal seasons.
Looks like I need to contact someone at TheTVDB. Which doesn’t seem easy since they closed the forum.
