Add support for "Multi-Edition" MKV files

This is similar to existing requests I guess for support of multiple editions of movies, usually referring to having multiple full copies of the movie, but I am specifically interested in whether there are plans to support the native MKV functionality for including multiple “editions” of a title via the chapter listing as a way to replicate the seamless branching functionality of blu-ray discs. For example a utility called chapterEditor can make a “multi-mkv” file from a blu-ray with multiple editions. VLC appears to currently support this as separate selectable titles for playback. In Plex however only the default title will play and, additionally, the length of the title is incorrect as it uses the total length of the mkv video stream and not the active chapter-list.

There’s already an existing suggestion discussing that feature. I suggest you comment/vote in that thread in order to avoid distracting/dispersing votes.

I’ll therefore close this thread as a duplicate.
