I saw a lot of threads asking how to add chapters to MP4. None mentioned the simplest and easiest I’ve seen. So here it is.
If you own a Mac , skip step 1.
- Buy a Mac.
I bought a used Mac mini 2014… Cheap and great for the job. And gives access to a lot of other mac-only tools. IMovie etc etc, you will love it.
- DL MetaDoctor
A free app called MetaDoctor stands alone for scrubbing quickly through MP4 adding chapters.
No docs to speak of. Hint: play with the arrow keys to navigate fast.
Probably not well supported. But just works well and works fast. No timings to write down, no text files to edit.
