Adding custom 'moods' tags to tracks?

Is this possible to add them and use them? On my server, I have added the mood ‘explicit-language’ to a few tracks. But if I tell a filter to list all tracks with this, it doesn’t appear in the auto complete, and also if I just type it in, nothing appears in the results.

Any help/advise would be great.

Dan

Or maybe the ‘mood’ filter option just doesn’t work with custom moods. Has anyone else added any custom moods and been able to filter using them?

You probably tried filtering your custom moods on in Artist or Album mode when the mood was actually assigned to a Track.

You should be able to filter by “Track Mood” using a custom filter (in any mode) – otherwise you’ll need to switch to the corresponding mode to be able to filter by the respective mood. Plex does not have a mechanism to aggregate moods from tracks to albums or artists.

Just tested this myself and my custom moods show up nicely in their respective mode.

Thanks for the reply @tom80H I think I have it setup as you suggest.

The tag is on the track level

And the filter is filtering by track

Thanks,
Dan

What version of Plex Media Server is that?
Are you using the hosted version of Plex Web (http://app.plex.tv/desktop) or the version bundled with your local Plex Media Server (http://[PMS IP address]:32400/web)?

I am loading in the browser via https://app.plex.tv/desktop

As for server version, I think it is: Version 1.19.4.2935

With plex web being: Version 4.37.2

That’s odd… works for me when using the hosted version.
Just assigned a custom mood same as yours to a random song and applied the same filter…

Hi Tom, I trashed my filter, and tried again, now it appears to be appearing in the auto-complete and filters as expected. Sorry about that, not sure if it was my mistake, or just needed to give it time to save the data, but it appears happy now, which is fantastic news for us.
