I originally had a standard (free) plex account… I recently upgraded to plex pass. I have re-analysed the music library but I can’t get the mood filter to appear.
I have tried following the guide. Music => all => tracks => New Filter, but at this point I only have two options, rating or collection. I am not sure how to get the mood option to appear.
Any advice would be great.

Have you clicked on ‘new filter’ and then selected ‘mood’. Note: You must be in ‘album’ view mode for that to show up, if you are viewing by ‘artist’ then the mood option will not show.
HTH
No offense @trumpy81 aimed at you, but I much prefer Artist view and not album. And the fact that mood isn’t available in artist view seems to be a major BUG IMO. I know what albums I have. And I know who sings what. What I wanted when I set this up today is something that can be set up from within a list of artists I have selected to get the mood music accordingly. What I find instead is a scrolling mass of “moods” that have nothing at all to do with what I really want to listen to…
This is almost useless as it is, IMO. (Of course I just made the first Premium Music library I’ve ever had just today…)
Bob Marley isn’t a “Mood”? Or The Grateful Dead? Three Dog Night?
I have one group that I consider an attitude adjustment group. No matter how pissed off at something I am I listen to their songs and it mellows me out. I been living on them every time I think of Plex Media Server.
What doesn’t make sense is if I have a mood I want to listen to, I have to change from Artist view to Album view to get to this filtering. When I’m in a “Mood” for a type of music I shouldn’t have to change my viewing of my library to get to that mood of music.
And yes, I have given this a lot of thought. Because that was how the music programs I have used in the past have always worked. And today I was sadly dismayed to find that Plex, with all of the huge development time spent on music DOES NOT WORK THAT WAY! Another disappointing update to Plex Media Server… Music and Photos. Too much fluff and not enough substance…
Hi all,
just to confirm my versions and settings:
when I go to my account in plex I do see the plex pass symbol at the top (wanted to confirm that it knew I had plex pass).
in settings:
web : Version 2.11.0
Server: Version 1.2.7.2987
in music I have tried:
music => all => tracks:
filters => new filter:
the only options I get are Rating and Collection
when I do:
music => all => albums:
filters => new filter:
the options I get are:
Year, decade, Genre, Record label, collection, labels
when I do
music => all => artists:
filters => new filter:
the options I get are:
Genre, Country, Collection
I can not see mood anywhere. not sure if there is a setting I need to do somewhere that turns it on?
Some people have mentioned creating a Premium Music library, is there a difference between a standard music library and a premium one?
AH…

This might be why.
I have just created a new music library. Didn’t know it wouldn’t be able to upgrade it self. I can now see mood setting. Not the clearest thing ever, but now resolved.
Thx
