Adding Folders on ReadyNAS RN516 to Plex Library Not Working

Server Version#: Version 1.20.3.3437 running on SonicTransporter

I’m migrating my PLEX server from a ReadyNAS 516 to a SonicTransporter i9 (linux-based) system. No issues migrating Plex Media Server files.

However, I am unable to get Plex to point to the media files that reside on the ReadyNAS RN516. In the “Add folders to your library” section, I’m using this location \192.xxx.x.xxx\Movies\Film & Cinema and it doesn’t see the library. Also tried using the host name, \NAS-6E-45-90 to get to the files … again, nothing happens.

If I use “Browse for Media Folder”, I only see the local plexmediaserver files that reside on the SonicTransporter i9. There is no media there as everything resides on the NAS.

How do I get PLEX to point to the right location? It seems that I can’t get it to see anything outside of the local media server location.

Any ideas?
