Adding movies from multiple hdds into one library

OS: Ubuntu 20.04 LTS

My 4tb hdd filled up fast! So I added another 4tb hdd. The problem is that the movies and shows that I am adding from the second hdd show up as separate Movies and Shows libraries. So now I have 2 Movies libraries and 2 Shows libraries. Is it possible to combine them and have 1 Movies and 1 Shows?

What I mean is, is it possible to have movies on multiple HDDs inside just one Movies library? I know this is possible with OS which combine HDDs into common space, but I am using Ubuntu.

Well… it’s possible:

There are about 45 or so (guess - the list is too long to count on one page) folders scattered across 6HDDs (2 External USB Drives - with a dozen folders each)…

Now, how you deal with that on your OS is a mystery to me, but I’ll bet it starts and ends with permissions and ‘Add Folders’ to a library… not Add Libraries.

Also - if not immediately apparent - Movies/Shows don’t go on the root of drives, they go in folders on those drives - and that makes Add Folders a real thing and you can pretty much do what it says… by Adding Folders to an existing library - and those folders can be anywhere, on any drive.

… and yea… when I start filling up the available space, I have a whole bunch of folders scattered hither and yon that I can move or split up - without a lot of Drama - to spread out the load as required (while I plan the next storage purchase).
