I currently import my music synced from iTunes/Apple music to my iPhone/iPad into an app called Anytune. It’s for musicians to play along with the music and slow down the speed of it while keeping it in tune. I also have a sheet music app (forScore) that will allow me to import music that I can also play along with. I would love the ability to open one of my downloaded tracks in Anytune (non-DRM, ripped from my purchased CD collection) or in any other music app so I’m only downloading in one place. My only other option if I get rid of iTunes is to use Dropbox. The Anytune developer is willing to do his side to integrate. I just need you to enable the “Open-In” feature on your side. Pretty please?
Supposedly they rip the music from any video too. It might be nice to do non-DRM video as well (not as important for me, but it might be nice for someone else).
Also - my husband is a musician as well - drummer - he’d love the same thing. My issue is that my husband is non-technical. I am a fellow developer. To have to teach non-technical users all these different ways to download is really hard and confusing for them. The multiple methods are painful for me as well. It would be nice for us developers to get back to making things easier for the non-techies out there. Thank you for all you’ve done so far! I think this is easier than iTunes was.
I think plexamp is easier to teach him - so that’s my preference. But this is equally suited for Plex where the videos could be enabled as well.
