In PHT you can press Z to change is aspect ratio. Not like in the iOS app that just stretches the picture. It is able to fit the picture in 16:9. I have a lot of home videos or old tv shows that are 4:3 that I would like to be able to change the aspect ratio to 16:9. There are also some wide screen movies that I like to change. Is this at all possible?
It´s not possible at the moment.
But I support that feature request.
Well, yeah I know it’s not possible right now ;). Just meant if it was something that could be done and if it would be a huge undertaking to do

I have my 70’ and I just like the movie to fit the full screen and eliminate the black bars without cropping video… Plus the 4:3 videos are annoying. Why have a big TV if you can’t utilize the whole thing? Lol

So you want to miss the sides of the video by cropping the right and left sides if I understand it correctly?

No, in PHT it changes the aspect ratio. It does not stretch the video. It crops the black bars without having to cut off any part of the image.
Either in 4:3 having side bars. Or top bars it will not cut off the image itself.
on the xbox one, what is the “Z” key?

Unless you have a keyboard plugged into the Xbox One, there isn’t one.
There is also no equivalent function to do that on the Xbox One. PHT used a customized video player that allowed manipulation of the video on the device itself. The Xbox One Plex app uses the media player framework hosted by the Xbox One and there is currently no equivalent function that the app can use to achieve this.
