Not sure what happened, just sitting down to watch “It’s a wonderful life” on my living room TCL tv with Roku, and after I click the movie to play, it loads a 30-second ad! What the heck? I should not have to watch an ad for a movie I own. Has this happened to anyone else, or did Plex decide to stream the movie from their server? Super disappointed if this is the future of plex after I purchased a lifetime pass.
Are you sure you didn’t mistakenly enabled cinema trailers on your Roku app / Prerolls on your server ?
Depending how you located the movie, you probably unknowingly selected and played the Plex copy, not your copy.
Did you do a search for the movie? If so you may have selected the movie that is provided by Plex and not your movie. I just did a search and they have it listed. If you play their movie it will have commercials.
Yeah. This one is on me guys. Everyone is right. I selected the Plex rather than my own. I was going too fast for my own good. Still a little confused why I have to scroll a bit to find my own content. Any way to turn that off.
I do feel foolish for being too quick to post.
