when you’re on your content page, hit the ‘r’ key on your keyboard. It seems that I have the same issue and refreshing the metadata two or three times does the trick for me.

That doesn’t work for me… “R” or re-scan the lib. Nothing changes
Here’s a link to the full file that I modified in GitHub https://github.com/lazeraman/Data18.bundle/blob/master/Contents/Code/. Replace the init.py and restart your plex server (or the machine it’s running on). Hope this helps. Also if your still having issues try creating a new library and see if its isolated to your current one. Might be holding cached data if its using the right init.py

Did not work for me either; also having problems suddenly with data18.
The plugin does appear to be broken again, I can only get matches by searching the ID string on Data18 for content. If I try to search by name, even copying and pasting the name from Data18 it finds “no matches”.
Is there some logging or something I can grab to try to track down the issue?

Thank you!! The above instructions have restored the poster download and the actor listing.
Server: Windows 10, PMS Version 1.0.3.2461.
Steps:
- made copy of original init file from this directory to my documents folder as a backup
C:\Users\XXXXX\AppData\Local\Plex Media Server\Plug-ins\Data18.bundle\Contents\Code
- Stopped and closed Plex completely.
- Went to URL above, copied & pasted the 500 or so lines of code into the init.py file, over writing it’s contents.
- Started Plex Media Server backup
- Went to my Data18 media library, hit refresh
- Win!
Now going to test this on my Mac and will report back.

Is there a way to turn it off? It is putting porn metatdata on Hallmark movies!. I don’t mind it for my porn but don’t want to have to look at every movie in the general/family library to make sure it is not putting porn covers on their movies.
It works pretty much ok for me but I have a small problem in the cast not all the cast is being pulled. Example:
If you look at http://www.data18.com/content/1162452 in the case it puts Lana Rhoades and James Deen. However in the pull on plex it just gets James Deen. Any Idea or suggestion?
One thing I have noticed, is that Data18 appears to be limiting the search hits to their domain. I can repro this by doing a refresh, seeing if it failed, then attempting the same search on Data18’s website. Not much that can be done about that.

Any pornstar in “dev” (meaning Data18 doesn’t have a full record for the actor) database isn’t being pulled in. There is code to pull any “bold” links, but dev actors aren’t bold in data18. Not sure how to fix it personally.

Recently having problems with the Data18 agent.
Originally I was having problems that data was being scrapped but not images. Then I had it where some movies were finding no results at all.
If the files and folders are renamed to the database number (ie. 1149630 for Facialized #3) then it appears to work almost perfectly. Though director field missing (would be nice to populate the ‘Studio’ field too)
Has anyone figured out what what to do so we can carry on naming files and folders with the movie titles?
Thanks in advance to all those who have had a hand in keeping this agent working. The amount of time saved globally because of the work you put in on this must be phenomenal! I know for me this has literally saved me days of my life!

Genre is not scraping since data18 updated their site…
I’m noticing the same problems as the posters above, with the added issue that when I search using the Database number, it returns a blank title, and doesn’t pull any metadata/poster at all.
To clarify, it pulls a title, it is just blank, so then I have an unnamed movie in the library. I have made a github issue tracking this too.

Data18-Content scanner seems to have stopped working. Has anyone else seen this problem?

for me both scanners are still working but
I have all my Data18-content files now named with the data18 reference number. When I run the scanner I have difficulties to have a direct match.
When I click on Match and then Search Options the Title is “1105821 Mp4” by just removing the Mp4 and hitting search the title is matched. Is there any way to tell the agent to omit Mp4, WMV,… so that it matches directly ?
Completely Functional as of today. Woke up and all 3 of my machines had matched all unmatched videos. Can confirm that whatever was wrong has gone away… at least for now. Videos that would not match for months finally pulled data!
