Adult Recommendations are not acceptable (NSFW)

C’mon Plex. What the hell is this? Is there a setting I’m missing to disable this stuff?

This was under the “new on your services” section they recommend something called “stripped las vegas” from Starz. This is recommendation of items with shared “actors”. Lol.

Edit - before anybody asks I do not have the “allow adult content” setting enabled on my libraries.

Edited to blur image.

UPDATE: the “more with” section has been removed.

Plex really hit it out of the park with this feature didn’t they.

Disable this trash until you fix it and what I mean by fix it is providing an option to turn it off or just get rid of it alltogether.

@elan must be proud of this one.

What the actual ■■■■.

Don’t worry though a ninja will be along soon to explain that the feature is only a beta.

Definitely one for Reddit.

Is there really any surprise parents want to disable entirely everything to do with Discover?

Holy ■■■■ Plex.

Wait, there is a chance that my nephews could happen across this if my sister doesn’t disable a default enabled function?

Sooooo, when the children are exposed to porn…who is committing the felony?

Edit* Obvious hyperbole but seriously, this a pretty big f###-up

Imagine hitting this one off the Watch More that was getting through to Managed Users that Plex left out there until they figured out a way to disable, rather than roll back this broken release and address it.

What a ■■■■ show.

Debbie only did Dallas
Meanwhile Plex f****d everyone.
Plex is a wh**e

Plex, this has gone WAY TOO FAR! You wanted us to test Discover, well, it is a failure and shows your failure to be able to contain the content.

PULL THE PLUG ON “DISCOVER” NOW!!! Or, GIVE US THE DANG TOOLS WE NEED TO DO IT OURSELVES!!!

I, and my users, don’t need to be "discover"ing anything close to this sort of thing.

google.com is a hell of a lot better at discovering what I need to discover.

Just sent a warning email to disable all online content sources to all the folks on my server…

Also going to be looking into feasibility of Jellyfin migration because yeah… Nobody asked for online sources to be enabled by default.

Perhaps we should force flood the Plex forums with this sort of stuff and call it a “beta feature.” Then when Plex asks us to stop, we won’t comment.

…but of course Plex will use their forum tools to block the content. The same sort of tools plex REFUSES to give to us.

@elan i really hope you’re watching this

Unfortunately that doesn’t stop this functionality.

Working fantastic locally, remote users are configured - and depending on how many you’ve got, and if you want easy switching, it can look a bit cluttered.

But great performance and superb transcoding with everything I’ve thrown at it.

Is this Plex’s new business strategy, joining up with Pornhub and forcing on the users? I’m sure Plex will become rich.

Really, who the heck thought this was a great idea? “Let’s grab all the movie content out there and push it to our users without any content controls!”

Yup, starting to look into it a bit. Probably will have to migrate in a day or so

On the bright side there are no sources for this content but that box art tho…

Unable to reproduce here because I have no “new on your services” section.

Can confirm and makes me regret that I ever deleted a comment that @tom80H asked me to take down.

I had no idea this could even happen.

WTF!

Seriously, noooooo.

There is absolutely no way in which DISCOVER is BETA.

I’m no pearl clutching mad man, but THIS purely goes against some type of laws.

I’m in agreement with a few others.

Class action lawsuit here.

Plex FORCED this content aggregation on our servers without prior notice and without granulated control, especially proper parental controls.
