I would like to see more Collection tabs. my ideas

  • Actor Collections - Collection Via Actors or even director.
  • Universe Collections - Universes such as Marvel & DC, Star Trek & Star Wars.
  • Seasonal Collections - Christmas/Easter/Mothers and Fathers (Ask user to enable in the cast of just loosing a parent)/Birthday Day Movies.
  • Smart Collections - Collections built on movies you have watched and then suggested.
  • Recommend by Server Admin - This collection adds to the home screen of all users.

You can already have most of that with existing features around smart collections or publishing collections.

  • Actor collections → smart collection based on an advanced filter by actor
  • Universe collections → that’s more or less possible manually or based on some filter criteria (e.g. smart collection based on advanced filter Studio=Marvel Studios).
  • Seasonal Collections → this one is probably the trickiest of your suggestions – you can currently only cover this with manually assigned collections
  • Smart Collections → there’s already a few suggestion for that…
  • Recommend by Server Admin → create a collection and publish it

I’m aware of all this but having over 100 collections it gets hard to find. What I mean is tabbed collections so you have film collections on the left then within that you have the collections I suggested across the top.

“Recommended” - collection hubs? Work similar to what you are asking?

So basically like this suggestion – except you want tabs inside the collections tab while this suggestion asks for “sections”?
