Please entertain a feature request to add “contains” operator to “genre” advanced filter clause. I’d like to have an advanced filter for 5 star comedies, but most of my movies are tagged with multiple genres.
Just wondering how movies having multiple genres is an issue when it comes to filtering. Are you getting those genres from embedded metadata and have them mixed up? From what I can find, all my movies have multiple genres assigned – each as its own tag which I can filter individually.
Filtering by genre Comedy will show this movie (despite having yet another genre).
Or are you trying to get results from a number of genres in a single rule (e.g. filtering by Sci to return Sci-Fi and Science Fiction (instead of adding both genres to your filter)??
Good point, and I confirmed you are right. I was confused by the drop down menu of many different types of mixed genres when constructing the query. I will remove this request.
