1) First the obvious. Add support in the database for actors, directors, writers... etc
2) Have an action to fetch for the person you want its filmography
3) When you view the list of films for that person, have a mark over the cover (like the watch - not watched icon) to show if the movie is IN or NOT in collection
So for example i like to see all films of Fellini. Just search for Fellini. If i have already done that again, i am asked if i want to look again for new films or use the previously fetched list.
I say for example the list already in base. I see all those films like i would see them if i had them in collection with a mark on each cover to show if the film is actually in or not.
This is only important for films ofcourse. (not shows because then its too much information about certain episodes)
