I guess many people are using plex already with the whole family and maybe even with friends. Currently there are just a very few parental control options.
I think it’s time to spice up the control for the admin/parents again and enable additional features:
Time Control
It should be possible to restrict the “Play-Time” per user. E.g. User A is only allowed to play movies for maximum 5 hours per week.
The time control should be per user and per mediatype.
Additionally the user should have settings when he is allowed to watch, e.g.
User A can play 10 hours of movies per week, only on saturday between 10am and 11am and on monday from 5pm to 7pm.
Restrict connections
Currently a user can login from whatever device he likes to. This might be undesired.
Therefore, an option would be nice to restrict the overall number of devices per user and maximum number of parallel streams.
Additionally it would be nice to block a specific device for a user or even a device type (e.g. android, chrome browser).
