Has the Advertise as player capability been disabled? I rely on it as a way to “cast” from plex-android to my media-PC.

Why? The HTPC version is not properly controllable by mouse, so it is not a valid alternative…

I used this feature almost daily, the HTPC version is useless without a remote. No volume control at all from my iPad or Android Phone. Why take it out?

Plex team removing features, somehow I’m not surprised, I’ll keep using Plex-1.41.0.2876-e960c9ca-x86_64 with updates disabled, for as long as this version works, someday I’ll have to install PLEX HTPC just to keep in the background and use the companion feature, thanks Plex Team

The HTPC app needs to hold parity with all the other TV apps, or it’s a total waste. That means casting from other plex apps is 100% needed.
Just updated to the latest 1.20.2, and I’m still able to cast from my android Plex app to my HTPC. Hope this doesn’t go away. I plan on using my HTPC as my main player.
