I love plex, and I use it almost exclusively for enjoying my media. One thing that would be nice to add for music would be a DJ of some kind. What I’m picturing is that every hour or so while listening to music, someone would come on the line and say something a nromal DJ would say. There could be options for things like mentioning the name of the last song/artist, breaking news, weather report, fact about the artist, name of the playlist, etc.

Something like, “That was Weird Al with Eat it. In today’s news, Joe Biden has dropped out of the presidential race. The temperature is 89 degrees with rain forecast for later tonight. This is Driving Music Radio”, and then back to the music.

You want interruptions? Good luck but I do not think this would be that popular.

The difference being that it’s an interruption of my choosing

I also have a collection of old/fake commercials that I sometimes mix into TV playlists. Am I going to put them between Star Wars movies? Probably not, but having “■■■■ You Baltimore” come on between episodes of Aqua Teen Hunger Force can be rather amusing.

I wouldn’t add an interruption to my D&D playlist, or a party mix that I’m putting on, but it wouldn’t be terrible to have come on during my commute or just while listening to music in the office.
