I know this is a little out there, but if you are using Plex with your own media, you are already our there, so here goes.
I use Plex to maintain a significant library of music and use both Plexamp and Alexa for playback. Being a creative sort, I thought it would fun if I had a set of bumpers (radio dj sort of comments or fun things that would be played) interspersed in the stream as I am driving down the road. I could optionally turn on or off (perhaps as a Plexamp option) as I want. Sometimes I want a continual stream of my playlist, sometimes if would be fun to have a bumper inserted.
My thinking was to have a folder containing said bumpers in MP3 format or the like, which would be grabbed if requested. I would envision a Library option (Music library type) on the PMS side that would indicate the folder location of the bumpers and the frequency (every x tracks) or random (anywhere between x and y tracks). Control of using this could be overridden by an option on Plexamp (similar to the Guest DJ feature now)
Content and duration of the bumpers would be personal preference of the PMS manager.
