I have a Plex Premium Music library setup. Randomly the album art is not correct for many for the tracks in my library. All tracks have ID3 info via musicbrainz with the appropriate album art as the only cover embedded in the files. I attached some files for support. Thoughts on why Plex is not using the embedded album art?
I have the showing of hidden files enabled already. There are no rogue *.jpg files in these directories. Here is a directory screenshot where the songs on the “Reload” album are not showing the correct album art as shown in my first post.

This is not only about ‘hidden’ files but files marked as ‘system’. And those are not visible if you make ‘hidden’ files visible in explorer. There is a separate checkbox for them.

Check also the folders higher up in the hierarchy.

How do I get Plex to pull the correct covers in now? Do I need to go 1 by 1 as was stated in the link you posted?
Put all the files for ‘Reload’ into its own subfolder.
Then update the library (‘scan for library files’)
If that doesn’t help, wait 10 minutes, then Refresh Metadata on the album. If that still doesn’t help, acquire a high resolution file of the cover art, name it folder.jpg and put it into the album folder.
How do I prevent these 2 image files from being created in the future?
They won’t be recreated if you don’t use Windows Media Player anymore. And there is no good reason to do so.
