I want to allow my kids to use their Amazon Echo Dots to play music from Plex via voice command. I have enabled the Alexa skill and it works, but only if I disable the kids mode on the child’s echo dot device. This has other unintended consequences (removing time restrictions and changes the kid-specific content they can access) so I don’t want to do that really. As soon as I enable the kids mode on the device, Alexa starts responding to plex commands by saying “provider plex is not supported”.
In addition, the Plex skill does not appear in the available list of skills that can be toggled on in the “add content” part of the parent dashboard, and I don’t know why.
I am not sure if this is a bug or intended behaviour, but it doesn’t really work well for me!
Has anyone else experienced this and found a way around it?
