This feature is missing from the Plex Alexa skill and there hasn’t been much activity. I had started a thread asking for this feature on the voice forums but wanted to post here officially.
Shuffling random TV episodes is the major way I use Plex. Being able to say “Alexa tell Plex to play a random episode of Seinfeld” or particularly a random episode from a specific season would be a great feature.
+1, exact same view, need shuffle to live, naturally assumed this feature was already present.
Any news from the Plex devs if we’re ever gonna get this? Honestly, this was the primary thing I bought my Echo for. Saying “Tell Plex to shuffle South Park” would be so much easier than doing it through the GUI.

Gonna resurrect this request from the grave since the skill was updated relatively recently after appearing abandoned
This is a feature on every UI plex offers but absent from the voice interface
The workaround of making a playlist and shuffling that instead of just native shuffling its a poor fix
+1. DEFINITELY need this feature. I shuffle TV Shows during the day while I code, and I know a lot of other people use Plex like this, or at night to sleep. My guess is that this would be so simple to implement.
