All Bandwith reports as Local (1.32.8.7639 ?)

Server Version#:1.32.8.7639
Player Version#:any

I was helping a friend troubleshoot this weird issue after a physical move of their server, but soon discovered that this is due to a recent upgrade of Plex.

Essentially, when a remote stream is playing, the dashboard will show it as remote (along with the correct remote IP address) under that individual stream. Additionally, the traffic should also show as remote, like below:

And this is how it worked in 1.31.1.6782. However my friend was having the issue on 1.32.8.7639, so I went ahead and after testing as above upgraded to 1.32.8.7639.
I didn’t even need to stop my stream as it had enough buffered as the server restarted. Immediately after server restart this is what I get:

You can see that it is still being reported as Remote in the user playback, but the bandwidth is logging as Local.

I thought the version was the culprit, and I started writing this post, but in the middle of writing I went back to check again and it was now showing properly as Remote under bandwidth.

What I realize is that, for me at least, this is happening when the server restarts. The stream might not get interrupted (due to buffering), but as soon as the Plex server comes online it reports this REMOTE stream as LOCAL under bandwidth for a certain period of time.

So this is what my server looked like for about 2-3 minutes after restart:

And then, suddenly it turns to this:

This is basically a second or two later…note that the entire stream appears to be reset and it now starts reporting as remote and lost any history of the previous 2 minutes of local.

I realize restart in the middle of a stream might not be normal behavior, but I am providing this as a possible link to the main issue with this other server which continually shows the traffic as LOCAL under bandwidth, despite the session showing as REMOTE (with remote IP) under the particular streaming session.

As was pointed out to me elsewhere, my image here:

Is actually showing only very small bandwidth - and this is likely just the local bandwidth of my graphs refreshing.

The same seems true on my friend’s server. So apparently what he is seeing is ONLY local bandwidth from his graph refreshing and NO REMOTE bandwidth usage at all, despite someone clearly playing a stream that is being tagged/shown as WAN/REMOTE in the session.
