Since a few days, I have a big problem with Sync. +/- 50%: error. Any movie. Any codec. Sync or Optimized. Tablet windows or ipad. Movie on local hard drive or ethernet NAS. All crash.
Stream whit transcode work 100% great.
All Sync: The transcoder was unable to process this media
All Optimized: Unable to convert

I have this same problem. Does your media have TrueHD 7.1 audio?
Before doing this topic. I tried Sync Ready Play One (2018) with 2 audio in the same video. French ac3 5.1 and English TrueHd 7.1. Sync failed.
When I read your message, I did another test. With MkvToolnix, I used the same video and I made 2 others. One just with French audio and another just with English audio. The French audio succeeded and the English audio failed.
Yes. Plex have a problem whit ThruHd 7.1.
Thanks for the confirmation yanicktardif. I did my own test where I removed the 7.1 audio and left the 5.1 audio and the sync finished just fine. This was the only variable that I removed. I also saw something about this the logs a couple of weeks back but ran out of time to investigate.
Plex needs to fix this. How do I open a bug on plex server to resolve this problem?
