Honestly, the idea of setting up my own server to upload my personal videos to my Plex account, seems too intimidating, difficult and complicated.
I suggest the following feature:
- Allow users to upload their own personal media from their Dropbox account and other cloud services.
Instead of of having to set up a Plex media server, I honestly don’t see why we can’t just upload our own media directly from our cloud accounts such as Dropbox, etc.
In my mind, I should simply be able to open the Plex app on my iPad, click on something that says ‘Upload your personal media’ and then I have the option to select where I am uploading media from (e.g., Dropbox, Google Drive, iOS File Folder, etc. And then presto, it’s as easy as that.
