Allow setting on the server: Minimum remote quality video/audio hopefully to "Maximum"/"Original"

Thanks for sharing guys. I find it hard to believe that we are the only users who interpret this “limitation” as an issue. Hopefully this thread will catch on because this is the only and biggest issue I currently see with Plex. I appreciate the fact that some users doesnt share the content the same way I do, but everyone that shares with 5+ concurrent users (1080p 10Mb+) who doesnt sit on a very powerful CPU and are generally clueless must suffer at some point.

But so summarize, I have a great a internet connection 1000/1000 and a limited CPU power on my server
I would like my users to always stream with original/maximum quality without having them to set the remote quality manual on each client
Another nice option would be to force the “Automatically Adjust Quality” as default to all of my clients

In order to set these features, one can go to their server settings and set the (new):
“Force clients internet/remote streaming quality” to a specific quality “eg. 20mbs, 1080p” or to “maximum/original”
and toggle the flag for (new):
“Force clients automatically adjust quality”: on/off

Allow changing quality of remote streams from server

It would be great if I can change the streaming quality from the Activity Dashboard, similar to how I can stop a stream from there. My entire family uses my plex server, with some family members being technology savy and others not so much. I walked them through setting remote quality to Original for all their devices, so by default they stream at that quality. It would be great if I could manually override that setting just for that current stream. For instance, they start streaming a 15Mbp…

Default All Clients to Max Internet Streaming

My server keeps getting bogged down transcoding for no reason because clients have a low default setting for internet streaming. They are all capable of streaming original quality, and since I’ve been converting a lot of my files to x265, the transcoded 720p version ends up having a higher bitrate than the original does in 1080 or 4k. Please please please allow the server to choose to default the client bandwidth setting to original by default and save my poor server.
