Alternative TV Series Renamer to FileBot

Hello Plex Community!

I decided to make this application that renames TV series to the plex standard.

It is still in beta so if you do decide to use it would be greatly appreciated if you could leave me some feedback on this post so I can make improvements!

It looks like it runs on Java, so you should be able to use it on Mac. Haven’t tried though.

Like @isaacrdz said you should be able to run it on mac since it runs on java as long as you have java installed on your system, which most people do :slight_smile:

When it comes to movie renaming, I was thinking about adding that if the app becomes at least a bit popular, or if at least a few people use it. You can stay tuned on the blog to find out about any developments.

@isaacrdz Have you used the program yourself? Any feedback?

Does the program uses TVDB or something?
I’m trying to rename The Woody Woodpecker Show, the files are just like The Woody Woodpecker Show - 01, but nothing happens, just a msg on the main window saying RENAMING: The Woody Woodpecker Show - 01.avi .

Also, I know the program’s name is PlexFileRenamer, but does it also move/organize stuff to folders or it just rename?

I have no issues renaming stuff myself, but I was looking for some scraper/organizer and found your program. To me, the PITA is to manually seek seasons for shows like this, which has tons of seasons like Season 1940, Season 1941 and so on.
