I've long loved and used Plex for my media needs. It works perfectly and it does everything I want from a media server, except for one small thing, complete automation. I’ve been on the lookout for a tool that monitor a specific folder for movies. When it detects a movie, it automatically renames it and move it to my pl Plex ex movie folder. Unfortunately, I've yet to find such a toll, so I decided to write one, a simple one of course. Meet Movie Renamer, a small, java based tool that does exactly that. Initially I created the tool for my own needs and it seems to work fine so far, but I thought why not share it with you guys, since I am sure there is someone out there who is as lazy as me :)
Like I said it is a Java based tool, so you need Java to be installed first. Also, for now it only supports Windows.
Disclaimer: this is not a tool build by an experienced programmer, so don't expect it to work perfectly. Use it at your own risk. Also, this tool is meant to rename movies, so do not put TV shows or other media in the folder that the program is monitoring, only movies. I've only tested with movies with English titles, so it might not work with non-English titles.
