Amazon Fire TV 4K and Dolby Digital not working on MKV dvd's

I have latest amazon fire tv 4k, latest software, latest plex server and client. My DVD library are mkv files and when played via kodi on fire tv 4K DD works great. When playing thru Plex DD does not work and just getting stereo to 5.1…I did not see any recent articles on this issue
