Hello all
I reported back in February that this Issue was Fixed by utilising an EDID Emulator, unfortunately, that solution is no longer working.
If the TV (LG 49SK8500PLA) or the AVR (Marantz NR1609) is Switched Off whilst Playing Music (M4a AAC), or when the Music is Paused, upon Switching On the AVR, or TV, I see an Error Dialog in Plex HTPC showing ‘An Unexpected Playback Error Occurred’.
I use Windows 11 which is all up to Date including Display and Network Drivers etc.
This Issue is really frustrating so any Help in resolving it would be appreciated.
Well, I Think I have Fixed this Issue by utilising the MPV.conf File.
In the MPV Online Manual there is this Entry:
–audio-fallback-to-null=<yes|no>
If no audio device can be opened, behave as if --ao=null was given. This is useful in combination with --audio-device: instead of causing an error if the selected device does not exist, the client API user (or a Lua script) could let playback continue normally, and check the current-ao and audio-device-list properties to make high-level decisions about how to continue.
By Adding this to the MPV.conf File it seems to have solved the Issue:
I forget but does htpc have the option for “exclusive audio”. I think it’s in desktop but want sure about htpc. That might be the cause of the app is taking over the audio.
Everything with the Audio now seems to be Working fine, the Setting I Added to the MPV.conf File seems to be designed for this Issue so it is doing its Job.
