Have uninstalled app, cleared app data and cache etc, does not help and best I can do is watch content on the website …

The Plex arrow starts swiping but then app crashes. It gets to ask me if I want notifications although it doesn’t matter what I select as the app closes immediately.

Just to give you an example of how things can vary, I’ve a Pixel 6a, Android 16 and the app works OK. There have been other differences between the Pixels. Some models play EAC3 audio and on some there is just silence.
I am having the same issue on my Wife’s phone after setting her up on a Pixel 8 from a Pixel 6. I used the Android switch option to restore the Pixel 8 from the Pixel 6. The Plex app will just open for half a second and then close. If I clear cache\data, I get the permisisons prompt for notifications, but then crashes.
I have a Pixel 8 and the app works fine.
Using the latest version from the Play Store and on the latest Android version.
I’ve get the new phone. After the restoring the backup it didn’t work, I’ve already tried to delete the app and install it one more time, but it didn’t help
Have the same issue on a Pixel Tablet running Android 16. Bought it brand new, didn’t migrate anything to it. Plex app crashes right on a start. Tried everything I could think of, nothing works for the latest versions. Only thing that works in installing an older APK, specifically APKs that use the old version naming standard, e.g. 10.26.0.2578. Any of the APKs that have years in them do not work, e.g. 2025.26.0.
I am having the same issue with a new Google Pixel Tablet running Android 16. I am running Plex version 2025.27.0. The error that I get after trying to open Plex a few times is “Plex keeps stopping”.
I have the same problem. The application crashes immediately on launch. It does not work on Google Pixel 9 (Android 16). I must say that this is not the only application that has operational problems on this version of Android. I believe that the problems are caused by a change in the permissions to the phone’s memory. So far, I know of these applications that are negatively affected (not working) by this version of Android. Plex / OneSnyc / Audiobookshelf / Folder Widget.
