I am a person with a severe visual impairment. I normally use TalkBack to navigate my smartphone and tablet (Android). For some time now, some buttons have stopped responding with TalkBack enabled. TalkBack is a system that helps me navigate the screen. Specifically, this happens with the fast-forward and rewind buttons within the same playback, to give just one example, although many others fail. I would appreciate it if you could review future updates, as this started happening a couple of months ago and I have verified that it occurs with several different Android-based devices.
Please check this issue. Accesibility is really important to many people.
AND it always ends up helping everyone anyway. Also, I bet that ensuring accessibility and testing UX/UI “forces” devs to align themselves more strictly with the OS’s standards and features.
I agree, proper accesibility design should be a must for plex client apps
Thanks for the report. I’ll file an issue right now and we’ll take a look. We’re actively working to improve accessibility, and the new app/platform should really help over time but it’s possible we introduced something unexpected here. If we have any trouble with the repro we may ask you to share the specific device(s) and Android versions you’re seeing this on.
