nuVue is now live in the Play Store. See the original post for details. (Now if I could just figure out how to change the post title.)
Just bought it, very smooth experience so far, yet to try out the notifications (Currently using PlexNotify with Pushover to push new additions).
Things to consider:
1. Add Settings to control the number of Recent Additions (in the App I see way too many of recently added TV Shows grouped as Today, Yesterday, This Week, Last Week, Older). It makes scrolling too bulky when there are too many recent additions, especially in the TV Shows Section.
2. Is it possible to add click on show / movie interface to check:
-- Plot
-- IMDB / RT Ratings
-- Watch Trailer for Movies
-- Navigate or List Available Files in the "X" Plex Server of a particular TV Show
3. Adding Communities in the App (Server Admin + Server Users) : Allowing the server admin to push customized notifications to the "X" Plex Server community through NuVue (ex, server is down for maintenance).
That would help us in encouraging friends & family to get NuVue in order to be part of the "X" Server Community, for an effective and efficient admin/users relationship.
Regardless of the above, great App!! Keep up the good work :)

Thanks for the feedback.
Good idea. I originally had a history setting but took it out for simplicity's sake. That and I'm at the mercy of what Plex reports back as far as an upper limit to the history. But I'm sure I can come up with a usable solution.
I'm certainly open to showing a details page for an item, though I don't want the app to have too much overlap with the official Plex app. So I'm not sure how the navigation part of this idea fits with that.
A very cool and useful idea. I will definitely do some investigation to see what might be possible--though one of my main objectives was to make sure the user didn't have to install anything else (client-side or server-side) besides the app. But this suggestion intrigues me. I don't share my library or use shared libraries (darn slow rural internet connection), so I'd love to hear how nuVue can fit into those scenarios.
I have a small request for those of you who have installed the app: if you feel that it lives up to its billing and serves a purpose for you, please consider at least rating it in the Play Store. A short review would be gravy. I certainly don't have the budget to advertise anywhere, so positive ratings may help it gain some traction. Now I'm not asking you to lie--be honest. But if you feel it's at least a 4-star app, I'd greatly appreciate the plug.

Again, thanks.
I appreciate the prompt response!
I just thought of dropping extra feedback on points 2 & 3.
2. As NuVue has a great overview with a focused touch on shared servers, adding a single file interface to show the following would enhance & simplify the user journey when they open the main Plex Player app.
Example Use Case Scenario with point 2 implemented:
- List on which servers the file is available along with their qualities & perhaps subtitles.
3. I know many users who share their servers with a good number of family members / friends, there are also many users who has their PMS hosted over the cloud. I am sure there is a smart way to do it, maybe at least to authenticate the "X" PMS ownership to an App user by utilizing Plex APIs. If you can do that, you will be able to develop the community natively, allow the server owner to push notifications to anyone logged in the App and has that shared Plex Server. You can afterwards add a setting to let the normal users control whether they wish to receive custom notifications from "X" PMS or not.
For single notifications, can we move/remove the word "Added" somewhere instead of the beginning of the Title Name to reduce some quick glance confusion? Maybe add it to the bottom like:

Thanks for the clarification. Actual use cases always help. I definitely see where nuVue can grow into something more useful for shared library users. I will add it to my list of feature requests.

NuVue - Added to SectionName on PlexServerName
I agree that "Added" takes up room that could be used by the item title. I'll see what I can make work. Thanks for the suggestion.
Thanks for the update. I've been using it and haven't had any issues with crashing. Just works great.
I noticed your Trello board said you're working on Android Wear notification support. I've been getting nuVue notifications fine on my Android watch. What kind of enhancement are you adding to it?

I've been using nuvue with Android wear for the past week and it's been working great. Can I suggest for movies, could it display Year of release and Genre:
Avatar (2009)
Action, Adventure
A paraplegic Marine dispatched to the moon Pandora on a unique mission becomes torn between following his orders and protecting the world he feels is his home.
nuVue 1.2.0 has been pushed to the Play Store with a new media details screen. Additional functionality is planned for this screen, so stay tuned for future updates.

Are you suggesting this for the notification or for the item in the list? In the list, it already displays the year in the lower-right corner. Genres would be a good addition to the newly added media details screen. It's information that would require me to fetch data from the server for each individual media item, so I want to keep that to a minimum in the rest of the app.
I was referring for the notification on the android wear. Currently right now it's just Movie name then description.
Thanks for the clarification. While adding the year might work well with short movie titles, I imagine it would be clipped on most others. Also, I cannot make a different notification for the Wear device than what is displayed on the phone, so I'm not inclined to add too much more information in there. But I'll keep your request in mind.
nuVue 1.2.1 has been released with improved media info on Android Wear notifications and the ability to filter notifications by TV show. Subscribe to shared libraries? Now only get notified about the media you're interested in.
The Filter TV shows is going to be very useful. I was able to load up the list of TV shows and picked what shows I wanted notification. The library contained *A LOT* of TV shows and it took only 10 seconds to load the list, which is pretty good to me.
nuVue 1.3.0, a.k.a. the "why can't we just get along?" release, has been pushed to the Play Store. We are very pleased to announce that nuVue now supports Media Browser servers in addition to Plex. Could it be the first step toward word peace? Probably not. But at least both Plex and Media Browser users now have something in common to talk about.
Also included is improved scrolling and image loading performance, the option to refresh on app open, and other general fixes and improvements. Now it's time to move on to the fun stuff..
