The playback speed for audio is missing since the last update. Is this feature being removed? (please don’t!)
That should not be the case, can you please confirm the exact circumstances where it is not showing for you?
I’m not sure how to explain it. I just play the audio file (in this case an audio book) on my Note 8 and the option doesn’t show up after last update.
So in these cases the speed setting will depend on the “Store track progress” library setting. I’ll test this shortly and see if I can reproduce it.
It worked before the update though.
I’ve forwarded this thread to someone who knows a little more than me. But either it was broken before and we’ve fixed it, or it’s broken now and we’ll fix it 
Do you have that setting enabled for this library?

yep enabled it even works online… just not on my phone

Android mobile 7.27.0.14941-beta feedback.
Curious. This doesn’t seem to be universal across all audio. I see the speed modifier when playing audio from my Audiobooks library, but it’s not present when playing audio from my Music libraries. Is this by design? If it is, what’s the trigger that differentiates between the different audio libraries?
EDIT: I have noticed in Plex Web that my Music libraries have a Manage Library option to ‘Upgrade to Plex Music’. This option isn’t present for my (newer) Audiobooks library. Should I be upgrading to Plex Music?
At this stage (without further testing and library conversion), my hypothesis is that the playback speed modifier isn’t present for audio libraries that haven’t been upgraded.
Sorry. I should have read this thread more carefully. It would have saved me a lot of typing. The speed modifier works well in the latest beta.

@jesusmc @SamFromPlex OK. Now I am a little bit confused.
From Plex Web version 4.12.3, I noticed that several music libraries I have did not have the setting checked, but the speed modifier was still present for audio in those libraries. In other words, it appears that the presence of the speed modifier is not dependent on the music library Store Track Progress setting for Plex Web.
Based on the discussion in this thread, I’m reading that the presence of the speed modifier is dependent on a music library Store Track Progress setting for the Plex Android mobile app. Is there a reason for this introduced dependency as this is not a dependency requirement for Plex Web?
Finally, irrespective of the Store Track Progress setting, the speed modifier is not present in the Plex Android TV app version 7.27.0.14941-beta.
