Android TV DVR/LiveTV integration

Hi there!

So in one of the latest beta’s the DVR stuff started showing up, and if you picked a show airing right now - you could even click “Watch” - altho it didn’t do anything except error out - so it’s probably safe to say that LiveTV is coming.

So would it be possible to present it (TV+DVR+EPG) to AndroidTV as a provider, for use in the regular TV app ?
Granted i can already do this with the HDHomerun app (and a beta TVHeadEnd app) so it’s not exactly because there is a huge need for it - but on the other hand, being able to schedule stuff for recording, and having Plex handle it in the background would be far more ideal.

This would definitely be ideal. And it would solve that pesky EPG guide problem people have with the Plex guide.

This would be great! I’m sure the Plex Home integration will make this unnecessarily difficult and ugly (similar to the Echo integration). It would probably be best to let anything get scheduled to record through the Plex Home admin account and then rely on content ratings to sort out which users get it.
