Hey is there any way to make it work?
Right now Plex is always transcoding FLAC Audio (in mkv container) altough my TV is able to play FLAC (Sony AF9). I tested it by playing it through DLNA where it works just fine without transcoding.

Something is seriously screwed up with Plex and FLAC and Android TV. What used to play natively all transcodes…and audio transcodes to 48k stereo, no matter what the original format it seems.
Are you using the built in ?
I found out that FLAC Stereo works just fine, only FLAC 5.1 is not working. My TV is connected to a Sony DN1080 (AV Receiver). But DTS 5.1 is directly played just fine. On the other hand Plex fo Kodi direct plays it just fine.
