It depends on what OS your media server run on. If it's OSX (Mac) then you can use the preferences dialog for the agent. Otherwise, you have to find the stored preferences file in the file system. So, what are you running? You can probably find the answer in one of the prevoius post in this thread though.
Hi. I’m using PMS v0.9.6.3.140-9c9f5ce and latest AniDB agent from unsupported Appstore (also tried v5 and v6 before). But it doesn’t work in the least…

Im getting errors on startup, here are the logfiles for v5 and 6, Plex Media Server v0.9.6.3.143-4466fb5 on Ubuntu Server 12.04
Could you post a full log file from agent start? I'm not sure what's going on, it seems as if all your movies are re-muxed as not file match is found? Try removing the agent completely (including all folders) and then re-install via Unsupported Appstore and see if that helps.
Do you have any custom python version installed that's picked up by Plex? It seems as if you're python isn't compatible with the AniDB library that the agent uses (adba).

I’m having some problems figuring out how to install the pluging properly.
What I have done,
Downloaded the zip file from the first post (V.6) unziped and added the plugin to the following path (Running plex media server V 0.9.6.3 on Windows 7) C:\users\Username\AppData\Local\Plex Media Server\Plug-ins\AniDb.bundel
However I cant find anidb as an agent under my preferences on the media server homepage or the xml file for anidb under C:\Users\Username\AppData\Local\Plex Media Server\Plug-in Support\Preferences
and I’v restarted my computer several times.
Any ideas?

Error starting framework core.
It looks like they've recently pushed out a new Framework and System bundle:

While the initial one that was pushed out was utterly broken for me, I deleted the bundles as suggested in the thread and that brought Plex back to life, however I've subsequently started getting the above exception. The Framework bundle includes an XML library. Whatever the update is they've pushed out, it's removed the specific XML functionality that adba is using, at least in Linux. Which sucks.
Fix:
in AniDBAbstracter.py and AniDBfileinfo.py, change:

Not sure why this suddenly changed but it looks like it's working now. This might be a Linux-specific change?
Just wanted to say thanks. This solved my problem (first time setup) - I was able to see AniDB show up as an agent by editing these lines in both of these files. After this step, it showed up as an agent in the preferences(though it was grayed out and could not be checked marked) - in order to get the preferences file to show up, I right clicked one of my series and attempted to fetch metadata from AniDB. A file showed up finally. In windows 7 it was AppData\Local\Plex Media Server\Plug-in Support\Preferences\com.plexapp.agents.anidb.xml
In order to correctly modify these files, you might want to install Notepad++, which will make your life a hell of a lot easier. The com.plexapp.agents.anidb.xml file needs to have the lines changed to Yourusernamegoeshere and the changed to yourpass - Now everything is working great for me. If you're having problems, always remember to check your logs located (for me) at AppData\Local\Plex Media Server\Logs\PMS Plugin Logs\com.plexapp.agents.anidb.log

I’ll see if I can get a new release up next week, I’m on holiday right now and can’t get to my computer (as I need to test it on various platforms). It’s really annoying that they push these changes without any notification - it makes it a bit hard to keep up.

Anidb was working great for me previously (about a week ago maybe more)
today I renamed some of my folders which caused Fate/Zero (the main reason I use anidb keeping it separate from fate/stay night) and this caused it to delete the old entry and put a new one in.
Problem: I cannot search for anything anymore. It doesn’t matter what I use to search for nothing comes up.
Since I got the error with

Looks like it's trying to access your file on disk to calculate a hash to look it up in AniDB but the file path is broken or not there - most likely the old paths are still in Plex. Normally the scanner picks up on this and marks the old file paths for deletion from the database. Try running the 'empty trash' function in the media server manager before matching any metadata.
I have no empty trash function unless you mean "empty trash automatically after every scan" which is checked. No searches work including new files that have not had a previous scrape.
To test i added a new library section using BABS as the media scanner and AniDB as the primary metadata agent.

Is Plex actually seeing your files? The error it's throwing is basically trying to split the file name, but the file name isn't there i.e. there aren't any files. Obviously they'll have no metadata or anything but does your Plex Media Server actually see any episodes? I think something is getting confused, but it might be an actual plex problem rather than an AniDB one.
Are any other scanners working? Does it match if you use tvdb? Beyond that I'm a bit stuck, don't know the code well enough to suggest anything further. Personally I use this scanner and BABS and have had no issues beyond needing to do a few minor tweaks to work around some bugs, fixes for all of which except the etree one are already in the latest AniDB bundle.
Everything works minus Anidb. It sees all the episodes. For now I unmatched it and manually edited the meta data for each episode etc.
If I wanted to I could use TVDB to import fate/zero as fate/stay night and have by accident before causing it to merge with the real season 1 of fate/stay night. This causes me to actually have to remove the folder to split it back up per-say.
Regardless of all this, it is indeed an error specifically with the Anidb scraper. Everything else works perfectly. I guess I shall wait for the author to release his update, hah.

Quicksmage, try adding the following line to __init__.py at row 161 (take care to use proper indentation)

That should give something in the log file that might help troubleshooting. The update of the plugin that has been discussed previously has nothing to do with your problem, so that won't solve it.
