So here we are, another 2-3 weeks of turmoil, change and functional trauma and all that has happened is the self inflicted wounds by PLEX are “fixed”.
None of the long standing issues with playback have been addressed.
None of the requests for new functionality have been addressed.
None of the performance issues have been addressed.
This has become the PLEX update cycle.
They break it for their own reasons, we test it, they hammer it back to something less than what it was and things move on. The typical cheer leaders lay praise for all the effort put forth, never realizing nor admitting all the problems were self inflicted, and the product/users fall further behind when it comes to LiveTV/DVR functions and performance.
Can’t reliably watch/time shift a recording in progress, Can’t reliably tune to a station or if you can it take up to a minute. No previously watched station. And many other expected/requested features still not working or non-existent.
