Hi all.
I am running a PC as my server. It has a 2,4 GH processor and 8 GB of RAM. I just ordered Plex Pass a few days ago for the live TV function. I bought a Hauppauge dual tuner to run it.
The computer is connected directly to the modem via an Ethernet cable and an HDMI cable to my TV. If I bypass the computer and go antenna to TV, I get a great picture. Same if I connect to the computer and use the Hauppauge WIN TV software. However, when I try to go through Plex, it takes forever for the channel to come up and then buffers repeatedly. I may get 10-15 seconds and then it buffers again. I even lowered the quality all the way down to 480p, 1.5 MB, but it still does it.
I understand that the computer would be a little slow for transcoding to a different device (eg., my IPad Pro), but I am going direct from PC to TV. As I understand, there is no transcoding for such a setup and a 2.4 GH processor should be much more than I need.
