Hello. I have seen quite a few requests for DVB-S support in the Plex DVR.
I haven’t seen any requests that specify what or how it should work, so I thought I’d share what I would like…

Full diseqc support including motor setups.

Linux network DVB API support for descrambling, so you (Plex) don’t have to worry about all that stuff and we can use our preferred methods (probably worth adding for the cable users too).

Multiple EPG sources ( I get a good strong signal to over 25 separate satellites featuring content from many different countries.

No or much higher channel limit (from what I understand we are currently limited to 450 and I have more sports channels than that alone).

Predefined muxes per orbital position (Linux DVB scan tables is a great source).

Automatically discover new/additional muxes/transponders.
I currently use the open source TVHeadend. I’m sure the source code would be worth looking through. It does everything I mentioned but I would much prefer if it was all handled by Plex.
