Finally got Plex DLNA to work again - only to discover serious lack of security on published content.
Since last DLNA use, we have added several libraries for private content (like synced mobile photos, vide recordings being edited a.o) which should NOT be available to public DLNA users - event if in the household.
SO: Is there any way to associate DLNA to a profile (like guest) to restrict content available?? Or any other way to achieve same??
No.
DLNA has no concept of users. Therefore by using Plex via DLNA, devices can see all content of a server. Any watch progress will be applied to the server owner’s profile.
There’s a feature suggestion to specify which libraries should be accessible via DLNA.
