I’m glad it wasn’t my Ubuntu host, I hope. Anyway I can grab logs from the client? That Client is an Xbox. I can have him unlink his account and re-install the app. Not sure if that would help.
Do you know what is next?
Thanks!!

@ChuckPa it happened again this evening just before 9pm EST
Plex Media Server Logs_2021-05-03_20-57-41.zip (5.6 MB)
It is the same client/user? I had rahal777 uninstall his xbox app and log out of his app. Not sure if its the same user…
Is it always Xbox devices?
Possibly? I was trying to follow which stream caused plex to die. If it’s the same user then yes. Xbox client
Nothing I can do if the Xbox client other than commiserate. I am server / OS side.
I’ve seen a lot of people have success while others struggle for no reason.
Best I can suggest is uninstall the xbox and reinstall/link the player to that account.
Is there a way in the logs to see which user had the connection before the reset? Or which one caused it? If it’s a different user then I can have them reinstall the app. I tried to follow the debug but it’s very busy
The Debug is very busy to follow.
copy (cat) the logs into one big file (main+.1+.2+.3+.4+.5) then grep and find him.
When you do, get the IP.
Now grep again for that IP addr.
Watch for the Request + Complete pairs.
If he’s disconnecting, you’ll see it by IP. You’ll also see anything else… which is all logged by IP.
Same user…I had him uninstall/log out. Same issue:
Xbox Client causing Plex Server to “crash” or lose connections - Plex Players / Gaming Consoles - Plex Forum
Thanks for your help.
Definitely xbox then. Not a server issue.
I can see the other devices connecting fine.
Sorry I can’t do more.
