Apple 4k TV and EAC3 (Dolby Digital Plus) pass through

I am using the latest gen Apple 4k TV and latest Plex Apple TV app.
I just wanted to confirm that a Plex video that is encoded with DD+ will not pass it through to my Denon Receiver but instead it will get transcoded on the Apple 4k TV to PCM (I think probably LPCM) for the Amp.
Is this correct as I really wanted it to just pass through the EAC3 DD+ audio directly to the Denon.
I assume if this is the case this will also stop DD+ Atmos sountracks being passed through as well.
