no, that’s not what I’m saying. But I do find it very unlikely in my specific situation.

Edit: I need to curb my initial enthusiasm. The connection is no longer lost after every single opening of the Plex app on AppleTV, but still gets lost frequently. So it’s back to settings and toggling the Announce As Player button all too often. Same issue as in the regular app, sadly.

This has gone awfully quiet again just as it appeared to be gathering momentum! We got a beta build on March 16th and then nothing since - in fact I think we’re all back on main beta now. I take it that it’s proving more difficult than anticipated?

Played some HDR 4K content @ 16.5mbps and my Apple TV got really hot and started stuttering. None, metal player added no additional video/audio support, was not listed in the OP. This beta was about improving thermal throttling by switching to a more efficient API. Adding video and audio capability is outside the scope. If you want that, look at Infuse.

Thats all correct to a point, If Thermal throttling was present it would not allow proper play of some Video and audio capability unfortunately. I suppose that fairly obvious I hope… For me it was huge improvement to Terrestrial Tv not dropping out using my HDHomeRun. So considering that improveme…
