i might be a bit daft here, but is live tv using a hdhomerun coming to the apple tv version of plex ?
If I am understanding that you are asking whether the Live TV feature from Plex will be coming to Apple TV in the future I would have to assume that it would. It is my understanding that they are working on support for other platforms.
Hi yes I can view live tv on my iPad ( ace ) iPhone ( even better ) remotely ( awsome ) but can’t view live tv on Apple TV yet and wondering if there is an eta as all other software is well not an all in one solution like plex
Don’t know of an eta on when Apple TV will be supported with Live TV.
That is more than a little annoying. It said IOS and I made the mistake of believing that AppleTV was included. I spent money on a Tuner that can not be used on almost anything but my iPADs and iPhone. I just went from 60inchs to 10inches. I was really really excited about this as a fix.

Top tip until they bring it out use VLc it’s free and works on Apple TV , it’s annoying but I hope the guys at plex resolve it soon.
The “Channels” app works for live TV too on Apple TV. But I believe it is $~25.
Apple TV should be pretty easy for Plex, as it is a specialized version of iOS.
I do agree with you there are many diffrent solutions to the ultimate media server, Plex is just so flexible, and works from anywhere in the world, no vpns, proxys, bla bla bla, just press button and voila. I just love the simplicity of One Programe, One set of buttons and One remote, if your married the wife does not complain !!
Hopefully the Live to will come to the Apple TV Version soon.
JUST A side note, if you are adding a HDHomerun, consider adding a Seriosus Switch such as a Gs108 v3 netgear, prior to this using a G108 5 port switch, got major lag across my entire network. But since putting in the new switch, Video is Smooth Over Wireless, Ethernet, Both Live Tv, and playing 5 Plex Streams at once.
Also I figured out how to install Plex on a Seagte Personal Media 5TB it works Just !!! Fantastic for attached storage but not running plex on.
Plex reps have confirmed it is coming, but I haven’t seen any ETA on it.
